Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skura throws a right and a left that Matsuo avoids nicely.
Skura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matsuo circles away quickly and effectively.

Matsuo fails with the takedown.

Matsuo throws a big counter combination but Skura scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Matsuo pushes Skura up against the ropes in a clinch.
Skura wants to break free but Matsuo has control.

Skura breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Matsuo misses with a takedown attempt - Skura sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Skura throws a series of punches but Matsuo moves out of range.
Matsuo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skura tries to avoid it but Matsuo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skura to the ground. Skura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Skura's jab looks to have found its range, popping Matsuo under the eye.

Matsuo moves into the clinch.

Matsuo tries to clinch but Skura moves out of range.
Matsuo shoots for a takedown but Skura saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Matsuo has been working on his balance at Animal House, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Skura.
Skura's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Skura duly obliges.
Skura looks to land a combination but Matsuo avoids it well.
Matsuo moves in looking to clinch but Skura pushes him off.
Skura swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Skura throws a series of punches but Matsuo avoids them all with ease.
Skura throws a looping overhand right but Matsuo ducks down to avoid it.

Matsuo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Matsuo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Matsuo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Matsuo scores a nice knee to the body.

Matsuo has Skura pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Matsuo pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Skura tumbling to the mat - Matsuo dives into Skura's guard.
Skura is looking to stand back up but Matsuo counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Skura.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Skura scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Matsuo manages to mount him!

Skura has left one of his arms exposed and Matsuo doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Skura screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
