Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Preston Vinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Hightower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hightower falls off balance throwing a combination

and Vinson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vinson.
Hightower looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hightower wants to get back to striking at distance but Vinson won't allow it.
Hightower tries to break the clinch but Vinson is controlling the position.
Vinson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hightower to keep the fight standing.
Vinson blocks an elbow strike.

Vinson pulls guard effortlessly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hightower would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hightower must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Vinson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Vinson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hightower tries to stand but Vinson is controlling from the bottom.
Vinson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hightower wants to stand and escape but instead Vinson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hightower is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Vinson manages to pull guard.
Hightower with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hightower is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hightower would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hightower decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vinson, up you get!
Hightower fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vinson is looking to counter punch.
Hightower swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hightower fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vinson manages to avoid it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Vinson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A little jabbing left from Hightower on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hightower tries to close the distance and clinch but Vinson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Vinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hightower fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hightower wants a takedown.
Hightower wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hightower tries to work over Vinson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Hightower wants to take the fight to the mat but Vinson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Preston Vinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michal Hightower.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hightower tries to pull guard but Vinson holds him up against the cage and eventually Hightower drops back down to his feet.

Vinson jumps guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Preston Vinson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vinson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Preston Vinson has been cut.
Hightower throws a series of punches but Vinson avoids them all with ease.
Hightower lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vinson circles away quickly and effectively.

Hightower gets caught flat footed, as Vinson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hightower preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vinson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hightower working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vinson.
Hightower is looking to stand back up but Vinson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hightower.
Vinson thows a huge punch but Hightower dodges it nicely.

Vinson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hightower sees it coming and defends easily.
Hightower is trying to escape back to his feet but Vinson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hightower is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Vinson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Vinson tries for a kimura but Hightower is defending well.

Vinson stands up and beckons Hightower to his feet.
Some wild striking there from Hightower.
Hightower lands a right hook to the body.
Hightower is looking to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Hightower knocks Vinson out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
