Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shelby Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammad Rizaldy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Shelby Key has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Shelby Key!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Muhammad Rizaldy!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Key escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rizaldy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Key tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rizaldy is in Key's guard.
Key really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rizaldy stands up over Key, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Rizaldy trying to control the position from guard on top but Key is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rizaldy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Key swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rizaldy slips nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rizaldy wants to work for an arm triangle but Key is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rizaldy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Key is just riding it out for now. Rizaldy eventually gives up the hold.

Rizaldy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Key's head.

Rizaldy throws a strike but Key manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Rizaldy tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Shelby Key!
