PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bonn Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaino Siitaari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson gets caught napping as Siitaari dives in and scores a takedown. Johnson manages to retain guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Siitaari shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily.
Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Siitaari moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Siitaari shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Johnson is trying to defend but Siitaari finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Siitaari tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Johnson defends well and Siitaari ends up having to push Johnson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Johnson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
