Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hal Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Winter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Santos did well to prevent Winter getting side control.
Winter is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Winter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Santos sees it coming and defends easily.
Winter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santos keeps working.
Winter passes to side control.
Santos is trying to control Winter's posture but Winter avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winter wants to take a breather but Santos manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Winter.

Winter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Santos dives on top into guard.
Winter is adopting a defensive guard.

Santos cracks Winter with a solid left hand.
Santos is working Winter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Santos is really struggling to control Winter but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Santos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Santos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Winter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Santos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Winter is looking to improve his position.
Winter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Santos is working away from the top position though.
Santos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Winter defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Winter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Santos is trying to work for a kimura but Winter is defending well.
Winter is looking to control Santos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Winter avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos is looking for a kimura here.

Winter regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Santos.

Winter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Winter is keen to just control but Santos is a slippery customer.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Santos just misses with a punch to the body.
Zak Winter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Winter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Santos.
Winter changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Winter is pawing at Santos, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Santos's nose. Santos is badly hurt! Winter pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Santos tries desperately to hold on but Winter is relentless in his assault! As Santos receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Winter away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zak Winter!
