Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frederick Kentucky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frederick Kentucky has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Stanley Walters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stanley Walters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frederick Kentucky!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walters has taken the fight to the clinch.
Walters has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kentucky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Walters has Kentucky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kentucky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kentucky keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Walters's efforts to push away.

Kentucky drags the fight down to the ground.
Kentucky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Walters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Walters not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Walters makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Walters is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Walters seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kentucky for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kentucky is looking to stand up but Walters isn't so interested in that idea.
Walters wants to get up but he can't break Kentucky's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Walters stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Walters wants it to stay on the feet.
Frederick Kentucky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walters throws a sloppy head kick and Kentucky moves out of range easily.
Kentucky dives in and grabs Walters's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walters pushes down on Kentucky's head and hops out.

Kentucky closes the distance and clinches.
Kentucky misses with a knee to the head.

Walters pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Walters takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kentucky shoots in and drives through. Walters sprawls well.
Stanley Walters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frederick Kentucky.
Kentucky fails with the takedown.

Walters drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Walters remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kentucky is looking to reverse the position.

Walters decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kentucky to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kentucky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Walters moves away.
Walters feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Walters keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kentucky looks winded!

Walters bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Walters tries to stand but Kentucky is controlling his head.

Walters could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kentucky is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Walters is controlling him well.
Kentucky is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Kentucky wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Walters stands up and beckons Kentucky to his feet.
Kentucky fails with a takedown attempt.
Walters feinted there with a counter leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Walters misses the target.

Kentucky gets caught napping as Walters dives in and scores a takedown. Kentucky manages to retain guard.

Kentucky has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Walters is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Walters on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Walters has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kentucky regains guard immediately.
Kentucky has momentary wrist control but Walters slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Stanley Walters will probably get the nod.
That's time! Walters's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kentucky tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Walters defends well and Kentucky ends up having to push Walters into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Walters looks for a takedown but Kentucky sprawls well.
Kentucky wants to clinch up but Walters keeps it at a distance.
Kentucky tries to clinch up but Walters circles away and keeps his distance.
Kentucky scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kentucky looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Walters went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Kentucky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Walters manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kentucky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walters is one step ahead there.
Walters postures up and lands a big shot to Kentucky's brow.

Walters drops back looking for a leg! Kentucky is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kentucky manages to kick Walters off! Walters jumps back into Kentucky's guard.

Walters lands a couple of decent looking shots.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Walters's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Kentucky is working an open guard so Walters takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Walters slaps away a takedown attempt from Kentucky, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kentucky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walters circles away.
Walters misses with a takedown attempt - Kentucky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Walters shoots in and bounces Kentucky off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kentucky doesn't manage to clinch there - Walters circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kentucky enables Walters to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kentucky manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Walters is looking to stand up but Kentucky won't let him.

Walters stands and steps away. Kentucky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Walters throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kentucky was covering up waiting for the punch and Walters finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stanley Walters overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kentucky has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Walters shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kentucky defends it nicely.
As Walters backs off Kentucky throws a huge counter combo but Walters manages to avoid it all.
Sloppy strikes from Kentucky. Those never looked like landing.

Kentucky gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Walters seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kentucky looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It looked like Walters was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Walters thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
It looks like Walters is going to stand back up.

Walters is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Frederick Kentucky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stanley Walters is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Walters, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
