Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarmo Hovi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hovi has chosen Vesa-Matti Loiri - Armo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Tarmo Hovi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hardy moves into the clinch.
Hardy is breathing heavily.
Hovi stalling against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Hardy fails to land.
Hovi goes for a takedown attempt but Hardy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hovi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hardy defends well and Hovi ends up having to push Hardy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hardy throws a lazy right hand but Hovi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hovi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hardy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hardy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hovi forces Hardy back against the cage and clinches.

Hovi breaks from the clinch.

Hovi rushes Hardy and presses him up against the cage.

Hovi successfully pulls guard.
Hardy stays in close to Hovi's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hovi is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hardy has his hands clasped together but Hovi extends and breaks Hardy's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hovi.

After the fight, Tarmo Hovi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
