Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 3, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy DeVito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 25 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kong Su han!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeVito closes the distance and clinches.
DeVito trying to control the position but instead, Su han has worked for underhooks and has pushed DeVito into the cage.
DeVito lands a right hand that snaps the head of Su han backwards.
Su han tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and DeVito avoids it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Su han takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
I was talking to DeVito's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Su han misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from DeVito.
DeVito lands a shot to the body.
DeVito lands a left hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

DeVito lands a head shot.

Su han closes the distance and clinches.

DeVito throws a punch but it's blocked by Su han.
Su han lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Tommy DeVito has been cut.
DeVito is looking to control Su han's arms but Su han gets an underhook and turns him. Now DeVito has his back to the cage.
DeVito is trying to maintain a safe position but Su han gets an underhook and turns DeVito into the cage.
Su han creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Su han just misses with a elbow thrown towards DeVito's brow.
A nice right hand lands inside from DeVito.
DeVito gets through Su han's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Su han blocks an elbow strike from DeVito.
Su han manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

DeVito blocks an elbow strike from Su han.
DeVito misses with a body punch.
Su han comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Su han is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

DeVito escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Su han takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Su han counters with a left to the body.

DeVito throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Su han wants to land a leg kick but DeVito is out of range.
DeVito throws a jab when Su han was well out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - DeVito looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Su han on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by DeVito. DeVito obviously looking to wear him down.
Su han will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Su han fails to land with a series of punches.
Kong Su han seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeVito throws a jab when Su han was well out of range.
DeVito thows a left - swing and a miss!
Su han lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
DeVito feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Su han's calf.
DeVito connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Su han's hands.
DeVito on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Su han ducks under a wild hook from DeVito.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Su han throws a nice head kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
DeVito throws a leg kick that is checked
and Su han counters with a good low kick that DeVito was not able to check.
Su han misses with an uppercut
letting DeVito counter with a right hand.
Su han tries to close the distance and clinch up but DeVito swats him away and circles back towards the center.
DeVito lands with a kick to the temple. Su han shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


Su han is rocked!
DeVito lands with a right and another and another! Su han is in big trouble! DeVito lands again and this time it's lights out for Su han! A quality knockout there for DeVito.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tommy DeVito!
A very excited looking Tommy DeVito made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
