The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kucera tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kucera throws a sloppy head kick and Matic moves out of range easily.
Matic throws a head kick that half lands.

Matic feints a jab promting Kucera to slip. Matic then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kucera slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Honza Kucera has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kucera has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Matic fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kucera manages to avoid it.

That was a close round but I would say that Hardijan Matic will probably get the nod.
