PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jaromir Jag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panupong Singsurat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panupong Singsurat told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 63 - 2, fighting out of London, Jaromir Jag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Panupong Singsurat!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jag tries to clinch there but Singsurat circles away.
Singsurat steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Jag.
Singsurat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nice takedown defense from Jag. No joy for Singsurat on that attempt.
Jag is looking to clinch but Singsurat is avoiding it.

Jag has managed to clinch.
Singsurat is trying to pull guard but Jag turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Jag seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Singsurat feints and then cracks Jag's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jag down.

Jag is pushing Singsurat's head away, looking to escape. Singsurat manages to hold on to the position though.

Jag bucks up and tries to throw Singsurat off but instead Singsurat has got his back!

Well, with Singsurat on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Jag is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Singsurat really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Jag.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Singsurat throws a nice looking combination but Jag bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Panupong Singsurat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Singsurat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

I've got Singsurat winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
