Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Joe Frazier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bas Severn!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frazier catches Severn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Severn forces Frazier back against the cage and clinches.
Frazier misses with a short punch on the inside.
Severn misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Still in the clinch, Severn scores with a nice short uppercut.

Frazier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Frazier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Severn looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Frazier throws a right hand that Severn ducks under and follows up with a left that Severn also avoids with ease.
A telegraphed right hand from Severn misses the target.

Severn forces Frazier back against the cage and clinches.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Frazier.
Severn swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Severn doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A nice left hand lands by Frazier.

Frazier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Frazier swings for the body but Severn moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Severn takes one to the chin there.
Severn throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've been told by Frazier's head coaches at ELITE GYM 40CAP that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bas Severn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Severn throws a nice looking combination but Frazier bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Severn takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Frazier is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Severn avoids the head kick by Frazier.
Severn avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Frazier misses with a body kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Severn! But no joy.
Frazier just misses with a punch to the body.

Severn has closed the distance and engaged Frazier in a clinch.
Severn on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Frazier's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Severn takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Severn closes the distance and clinches.
Severn takes a knee right on the jaw!
A head punch on the inside from Frazier fails to land.
Frazier using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Severn has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Severn misses with a short punch on the inside.
The referee is keeping an eye on Severn - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Frazier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Severn takes a swing at Frazier's ribcage but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Frazier walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Frazier lands with a thumping leg kick.
Severn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Frazier to score with a decent uppercut.
Severn on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Severn looks to land a left hand but Frazier moved out of range nicely.
Severn doesn't manage to clinch there - Frazier circles away.
Frazier feinted there with a counter leg kick.
A big right from Severn misses.
Frazier throws a jab but it's blocked by Severn.
Frazier connects with a right hand. Severn shakes it off.
Frazier explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Frazier misses with a body kick.
Severn tries to clinch but Frazier moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Frazier misses the target.
Frazier avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Frazier fires out a quick counter leg kick but Severn just manages to avoid it.

Severn takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Severn looks winded!
Frazier scores with a hook to the body. Severn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Frazier lands with a cross.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Severn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Frazier.
Frazier closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Severn! Frazier dives in looking to finish! Severn is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Frazier!
Joe Frazier opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
