Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gegard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power has chosen Easy Rider as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Power moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Gegard Mousasi has been cut.
Power tries to work over Mousasi's front leg with a kick but Mousasi checks it.
Mousasi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Power sprawls and moves away.
We've been informed that Power has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

No joy there for Power, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Power wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mousasi keeps working.

The fighters circling - Mousasi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Power takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Mousasi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Power's guard.

Power keeping moving, preventing Mousasi from controlling successfully.

Power is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mousasi defends well.
