Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Renario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Jones Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renario lands with a kick to the ribs.
Renario fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Renario.

Renario gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones Jr to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Renario has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jones Jr off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Renario looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones Jr is defended easily by Renario.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones Jr is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Renario to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Renario shrugs it off.
