The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolehmainen tries for a takedown but The Genius sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The Genius fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kolehmainen dives in and scores a takedown into The Genius 's guard.
Kolehmainen tries to free his leg and advance position but The Genius is retaining full guard.
The Genius being controlled here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kolehmainen passes The Genius 's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kolehmainen stalling.
Kolehmainen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kolehmainen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and The Genius defends it well.
The Genius trying to control but Kolehmainen postures up.

Kolehmainen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kolehmainen wants to pass to mount but The Genius is defending the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kolehmainen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The Genius is looking for a sweep. Kolehmainen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kolehmainen works his way into full mount!
The Genius really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kolehmainen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kolehmainen working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. The Genius turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Kolehmainen off and cradles The Genius 's limp body as Kolehmainen celebrates with his corner.
