The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boets throws a right and a left that both miss.
Boets throws a body punch but Dustup moves out of range.
Boets has been working on his boxing with his coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Dustup throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boets.
Boets uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dustup.
Dustup lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Boets looks to land a right hand but Dustup moved out of range.
Dustup lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boets circles away quickly and effectively.

Boets misses with the combination.
Dustup stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dustup wants it to stay on the feet.

Dustup is pawing at Boets, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Boets's nose. Boets is badly hurt! Dustup pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Boets tries desperately to hold on but Dustup is relentless in his assault! As Boets receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Dustup away and this one is in the books!

Damo Dustup decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
