Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Quian Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Salosen Mara!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane ducks right into an uppercut from Mara.
Kane lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kane.
Kane tries to clinch but Mara moves out of range.

and Mara connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Mara's corner calls for a 1-2. Mara obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kane misses with an uppercut. Mara saw that one coming.

Kane throws a chopping leg kick but Mara manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Kane has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Mara pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kane fails in his attempt to clinch.

Mara fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Kane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mara.

Kane takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Mara has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mara there as he acknowledges the shot.
A right-left combo lands from Kane.
Kane ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Kane. That snapped Mara's head back.
Mara lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kane takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mara ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It seemed like Mara was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kane scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Kane tries to bum rush Mara with a series of wild strikes but Mara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mara gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Kane lands with a nice body punch.
Kane takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mara throws a lazy right hand but Kane sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kane walks into a left hand.

Kane is rocked!
Mara walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kane drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mara swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kane's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Salosen Mara!
In his post fight interview, Salosen Mara started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
