Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Mancini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laverne Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laverne Reynolds has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chuck Mancini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Laverne Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mancini closes the distance and clinches up with Reynolds, looking for a takedown. Mancini pushes Reynolds against the cage but Reynolds circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Reynolds moves into the clinch successfully.
A bit of stalling here from Reynolds.
A right hook to the body lands for Reynolds.
Knees to the body from Reynolds.
Reynolds gets through Mancini's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Reynolds stalling the fight.
Reynolds lands a right hand.
Reynolds landing knees to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Mancini's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Reynolds escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reynolds scores with a head kick. Mancini tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Mancini tries for a takedown but Reynolds circles away easily
and Reynolds makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mancini gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Reynolds cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Mancini. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reynolds keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Reynolds forces Mancini back against the cage and clinches.
Reynolds prevents the takedown attempt.

Reynolds jumps into guard, dragging Mancini to the mat.
Reynolds is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mancini trying to control the position from guard on top but Reynolds is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mancini is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mancini thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mancini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reynolds swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reynolds keeping moving, preventing Mancini from controlling successfully.
Mancini advances to half guard.
Reynolds is in trouble now - Mancini has advanced to mount!

Mancini looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Mancini swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reynolds is now in Mancini's guard. A big mistake from Mancini there, giving up the dominant position!

Mancini is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Reynolds frees his head nicely. Oh but Mancini has switched to an armbar! Reynolds is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
