Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ollie Sakahura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Stankevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ollie Sakahura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Igor Stankevich!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stankevich moves out of range of the body kick from Sakahura.
Stankevich throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sakahura sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Stankevich shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Sakahura counters by clinching up.

Stankevich throws a body shot but no joy.
An attempted straight right counter from Sakahura misses the target.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stankevich has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Stankevich closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sakahura's guard.

Sakahura is looking to regain half guard here but Stankevich keeps moving and retains side control.
Sakahura parries the strikes from Stankevich easily there. Stankevich is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sakahura to escape.

The referee warns Sakahura that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sakahura is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Stankevich throws a lazy right hand but Sakahura sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sakahura takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Ollie Sakahura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Stankevich.

I've got Stankevich winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
