Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergey Chernov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hess comes to the cage accompanied by Demiurge. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chernov scores with a jab to the jaw.
Chernov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Chernov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hess is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Hess uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hess lands a high kick!

It looks like Sergey Chernov has been cut.
Chernov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hess rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chernov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hess throws a jab but it's blocked by Chernov.
Chernov now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hess slips a jab from Chernov.
Chernov misses with a low kick.
Hess shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Chernov throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hess has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chernov checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Chernov throws out a counter right but Hess avoids it with no problem.

It looks like Jon Hess has been cut.
Hess misses with a head kick.
Chernov thuds a left hand into Hess's body.
Some wild striking there from Hess.
Chernov throws out a counter right but Hess avoids it with no problem.
Hess tries to land a front kick but Chernov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Chernov throws a big shot that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hess moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hess throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hess takes a swing at Chernov's ribcage but misses.
Chernov cracks a nice hook into Hess's ribs.

Chernov cracks Hess with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Chernov has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hess to stand back up!
Chernov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hess at a distance.
Hess is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chernov finds Hess's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Hess flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Chernov lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Hess will be OK.
