Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinichi Onizuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yury Vesnev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Onizuka comes to the cage accompanied by First We Pray. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Vesnev misses the body punch
and Vesnev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Onizuka bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Onizuka seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Vesnev throws out a loose jab but Onizuka uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vesnev scores with a takedown into Onizuka's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Onizuka trying to keep a closed guard but Vesnev is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oh but Onizuka is tightening it up a little... Vesnev has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Vesnev reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Vesnev taps out! Nice BJJ there by Onizuka!
