The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poroshenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Poroshenko doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Decker counters with a three punch combo that has Poroshenko backing up. Poroshenko nods at Decker to acknowledge the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Poroshenko.
Decker is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Decker attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Despite the aggression on Poroshenko's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Decker swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Poroshenko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Decker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Poroshenko lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Decker down.

It looks like Serge Decker has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Decker is trying to control Poroshenko's posture but Poroshenko avoids it.
Decker takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Poroshenko scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Decker is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Poroshenko can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
