Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramos comes into the arena with Simple Man blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos wants to clinch.

Blood is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ramos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ramos is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Blood goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ramos is on top in guard.

Ramos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Blood is proving hard to escape from.

Blood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ramos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blood swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Blood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramos swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blood throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ramos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Blood passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ramos!

Blood lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

You get the feeling that Ramos really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Blood takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Blood looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Blood tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Aaron Blood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Ramos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blood paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blood is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Blood holds on and takes a little breather.

Blood seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Let's hope that Blood has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Blood is looking for the choke from the back position but Ramos is controlling his hands well.

Blood goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Ramos escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ramos seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Aaron Blood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Blood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
