Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leif Eirikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mujibur Rahman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eirikson comes into the arena with If I had a heart blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mujibur Rahman!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Eirikson misses its intended target.
Eirikson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Axis of Evil in the buildup to the fight.
Rahman lands a nice looking kick to the body. Eirikson takes a step back to recover.
Rahman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rahman tries to clinch there but Eirikson circles away.
Rahman tries to land a front kick but Eirikson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rahman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Eirikson.
Rahman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rahman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Eirikson was well out of range. Poor timing from Rahman.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rahman tries to clinch but Eirikson moves out of range.
Rahman lands with a nice body punch.
Eirikson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Rahman.

Mujibur Rahman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eirikson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rahman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rahman tries to counter by closing the distance.
Rahman misses with a body shot.
It looked like Eirikson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Eirikson misses with a straight left.
Rahman lands a really nice looking cross but Eirikson seems unphased.
Eirikson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Rahman counters by moving into the clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Rahman throws an elbow but misses.
Rahman unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Eirikson is trying to break the clinch but Rahman is controlling him.
Rahman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Eirikson's efforts to push away.
Eirikson wants to get back to striking at distance but Rahman won't allow it.
Rahman working some nice short punches in the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eirikson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rahman has him pressed against the cage.
Eirikson takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Leif Eirikson has been cut.
A frustrated look appears on Eirikson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rahman is working Eirikson over against the cage.
Rahman lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Rahman tries to throw a body punch but Eirikson avoids it by throwing Rahman back against the cage.
Eirikson tries to circle away but Rahman has him pinned against the cage.
Rahman throws an elbow that misses.
Rahman keeps control of Eirikson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Rahman throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Rahman pushes Eirikson back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Rahman comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Eirikson is breathing heavily.

Rahman gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Leif Eirikson's cut is getting worse.
Rahman struggles to land a body shot inside as Eirikson controls his hands.
Rahman creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Eirikson's defenses.
Eirikson is rocked!
Rahman lands an elbow inside.
Oh Eirikson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice body punch from Rahman - that landed with a thud.
Rahman lands a left hand that snaps the head of Eirikson backwards.
Eirikson blocks an elbow strike from Rahman.
Eirikson is pressed against the cage. Rahman pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Eirikson! Two more big strikes from Rahman and Eirikson crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Mujibur Rahman!
A pretty intense looking Mujibur Rahman took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
In defeat, Leif Eirikson stepped up to the mic, saying 'The unwise man
is awake all night
worries over and again.
When morning rises
he is restless still,
his burden as before. '.
