The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asashoryu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Schwager throws a series of punches but Asashoryu moves out of range.

Asashoryu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Schwager's jab looks to have found its range, popping Asashoryu under the eye.
A slow jab from Schwager misses its intended target.
Asashoryu works Schwager's body with a nice hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Asashoryu. Schwager does a little dance to reset his feet.
Asashoryu cracks Schwager with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Loki Schwager has been cut.
Loki Schwager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asashoryu throws a jab when Schwager was well out of range.
Schwager misses with a series of wild punches.
A looping hook to the body misses from Schwager. Asashoryu does a little dance to reset his feet.

Loki Schwager's cut is getting worse.

Asashoryu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schwager, who protects the arm well.
Oh Schwager is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schwager is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Schwager seems to have got his legs back now.

Asashoryu tries to advance to mount but Schwager denies him.
You can see the frustration on Schwager's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Asashoryu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Asashoryu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Schwager is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Iron Palace, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Asashoryu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Loki Schwager's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Asashoryu throws a powerful right kick. Schwager tried to block low but the kick was high! Schwager was taken right off of his feet! Asashoryu jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
