The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Du Toit shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Du Toit lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Du Toit perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Du Toit prevents Lyons from standing back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Du Toit lands with a punch from half guard.

Lyons looks like he's trying to stand up.
Du Toit wants to get back to his feet.
Du Toit looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Du Toit looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lyons with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Du Toit stops Lyons from getting back to his feet.
Du Toit tries to pass to full mount but Lyons defends it.

Du Toit cracks Lyons with a big right hand but Lyons just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

It looks like Du Toit might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Du Toit has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lyons's face.

Du Toit lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Lyons! Du Toit sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Lyons and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
