PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Stelling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stelling comes to the cage accompanied by London Calling. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Stelling !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, JJ Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stelling closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Stelling getting side control.

Jackson has one foot on Stelling 's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Stelling looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Stelling gets caught flat footed, as Jackson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Stelling is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jackson dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson just content to control the position.

Jackson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stelling to his feet.

Jackson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jackson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stelling on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Jackson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jackson not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jackson in particular looking to stall.
Jackson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jackson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stelling knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jackson lands strikes from half guard.
Stelling looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nice strikes from Jackson there.
Jackson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Jackson maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Stelling could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Jackson has cracked it and Stelling is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Jackson!
