PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cooper's choice of entrance music: Too Sexy. The key to victory for Jack White has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vic Cooper!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
White swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Cooper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cooper wants to clinch
letting White counter with a right hand.
White throws a body punch but Cooper moves out of range.
White throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cooper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Jack White has been cut.
Cooper misses with a lunging right hand
and White counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Cooper avoids the body shot from White.
Cooper lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left and a right from White both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Vic Cooper has been cut.

Cooper closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cooper lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of White backwards.

White has a couple of punches blocked by Cooper.
White tries to throw a body punch but Cooper avoids it by throwing White back against the cage.

White is trying to break the clinch but Cooper has him pressed against the cage.
White tries to work over Cooper's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Cooper prevents a body shot from White.
White is trying to push Cooper away but Cooper has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Cooper tightens his grip and picks White up, before dumping him to the ground. White manages to land in guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Cooper wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Cooper looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Cooper fakes high and swings low for a body shot but White manages to avoid it.

Cooper rushes White and presses him up against the cage.
White tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

White breaks the clinch.
White lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cooper circles away quickly and effectively.
White looks to score with a jab to the body but Cooper is just out of range.

Cooper gets in close and instigates a clinch.
White takes a shot to the head.
White is working Cooper over against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cooper drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cooper is working for takedown but White is calmly controlling the position for now.
Nice elbow from Cooper.

White manages to break the clinch.
White uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cooper.
White attempts a counter takedown but Cooper avoids it well and moves away.
Cooper wants to clinch up but White keeps it at a distance.
White loads up on a big right hand but Cooper slips the punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cooper with a nice cross.
Jack White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cooper tries to land a front kick but White steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

White has Cooper up against the cage in a clinch.
Cooper lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Vic Cooper will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

White scores with a jab to the head.
White takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and White counters with a lovely shot to the body.

White moves into the clinch successfully.
Cooper misses with a short punch on the inside.
White wants to break the clinch but can't.
White tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Cooper lands with a short head shot on the inside.
White tries a body shot but Cooper blocks it.
White lands an uppercut.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
White tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cooper's elbow.
White misses with a hook to the ribs.

Cooper slowing the pace effectively.

White manages to break the clinch.

Cooper bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Cooper is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. White is trying to escape and Cooper transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and White is forced to tap! Nice work there by Cooper! Very nice indeed!
