Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Octavio Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anzhor Azhiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 48 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anzhor Azhiev!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azhiev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Ramos counters by clinching up.
Azhiev is trying to pull guard but Ramos turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Azhiev blocks an elbow strike.
Ramos is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Azhiev is defending well for now.

Ramos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ramos is trying to buck Azhiev off.
Azhiev tries to advance to mount but can't.
Ramos controls the position for a moment.

Azhiev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Azhiev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Azhiev is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ramos has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ramos is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Azhiev off and has taken his back!
Will Ramos go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Ramos is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Azhiev has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Ramos is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Azhiev breaks Ramos's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ramos wriggles free and stands up.
Azhiev shoots in but no luck this time.
Octavio Ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anzhor Azhiev.

Azhiev drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Ramos manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Azhiev is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramos defends well.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

No luck for Azhiev with that takedown attempt.
Ramos connects with a nice looking jab.
Azhiev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Ramos stands and steps away. Azhiev gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Azhiev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ramos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Azhiev somewhat.

Azhiev goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ramos prevents it.

Azhiev jumps guard but Ramos stands there with Azhiev around his waist. Azhiev gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ramos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Azhiev to the ground. Ramos is now in Azhiev's guard.
Ramos is pushing down on Azhiev's leg trying to pass to half guard. Azhiev is fighting to maintain full guard but Ramos has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ramos works his foot free and advances to mount.

Ramos stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Azhiev goes for a double leg but Ramos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ramos continues to drive forward.

Azhiev tries to sprawl but Ramos drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Azhiev is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ramos pulls his head out easily.
Ramos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Azhiev can do to turn this around?

Ramos has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Azhiev is defending well but eventually Ramos manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Azhiev has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
