The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rajuste closes the distance and clinches up with Elliott, looking for a takedown. Rajuste pushes Elliott against the cage but Elliott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And Elliott counters with a quick kick to the body but Rajuste blocks it.

Rajuste misses with a wild combination.
Rajuste throws a lazy head kick
and Elliott cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Rajuste has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rajuste drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rajuste has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Elliott is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Elliott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rajuste, up you get!

Elliott drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rajuste looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rajuste looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rajuste!

Rajuste postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Elliott is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rajuste, into his guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Elliott in particular looking to stall.

Elliott gets to his feet. Rajuste looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
