PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haigh has chosen Prayer of the Refugee by Rise Against as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haigh lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Haigh.
Haigh lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brown at a distance.
Haigh throws a series of punches but Brown moves out of range.
Brown pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Haigh throws an off balance right hand
and Brown counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brown slips a jab and a cross from Haigh.
Brown feinted with a counter takedown.
Haigh avoids the body shot from Brown.
Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Haigh misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Haigh lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brown lands a nice shot that snaps Haigh's head back.

A nice inside leg kick there by Brown. That's going to slow Haigh down.
Brown feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Haigh's calf.
Brown thuds his right hand into Haigh's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Haigh pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Brown lands a leg kick that knocks Haigh off balance momentarily.

Haigh sends Brown crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Haigh is motioning to the referee to let Brown up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Daniel Brown has been cut.

Haigh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A quick step to the side and Brown tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Haigh throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Haigh scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Brown defending well as Haigh loads up on a big left hand.
Crunch! Haigh slams his shin into Brown's torso.

Brown steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Haigh.
Haigh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Brown.
Brown lands a head shot.
Haigh misses with a hook.

Haigh throws a predictable looking body shot
and Brown counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Haigh swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Haigh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brown manages to avoid it.
Brown feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Haigh pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brown back to the cage. Haigh follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Haigh is rocked!
Haigh is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Brown Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Haigh is out cold, face down on the mat!

Daniel Brown seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
