The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Riikola throws a poor cross that misses

and Targaryen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Riikola moves into full guard.
Targaryen cracks Riikola with a solid left hand.
Riikola is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Targaryen throws a strike but Riikola rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Riikola would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Targaryen holds on and takes a little breather.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Targaryen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riikola. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Targaryen stands up over Riikola, holding on to his feet. Targaryen throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Riikola is out cold! Targaryen lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
