Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allan Coyoca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon comes to the cage accompanied by Darude - Sandstorm. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Coyoca sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Simon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Simon tries to clinch up
and Coyoca counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Coyoca.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coyoca is one step ahead there.
Simon is working hard here to advance position.
Coyoca wants to pass the guard but Simon is keeping the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coyoca is nestled in close to Simon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
