Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Walker Christian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dale Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dale Dixon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Walker Christian's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Walker Christian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dale Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon scores with a sloppy right hand. Christian should have avoided that one.
Dixon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Christian fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Christian shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dixon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Christian throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Christian postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Christian attempts a counter takedown but Dixon avoids it well and moves away.
Christian looks to land a left hand but Dixon moved out of range nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Christian darts in and clinches Dixon up against the cage.

Dixon is trying to trip Christian. He has hold of a leg but Christian is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dixon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Dixon stays in close to Christian's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dixon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Christian has momentary wrist control but Dixon slips an elbow through the middle.
Christian looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dixon is one step ahead there.

Dixon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dixon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Christian was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A head kick from Dixon lands but Christian takes it in his stride.

Christian gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Dixon is trying to drag Christian to the mat but Christian just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Christian has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dixon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Dixon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Christian regains half guard, as Dixon was trying to land strikes.

Christian has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Christian looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dixon lands a nice short elbow.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Dixon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dixon is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Christian shoots in and drives through. Dixon sprawls well.
Christian throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Dixon slips a nice elbow through Christian's hands, connecting with Christian's forehead.

Dixon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Christian wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dixon in particular looking to stall.
Dixon wants to take a breather but Christian is having none of it.
Christian manages to get to full guard.

Christian has momentary wrist control but Dixon slips an elbow through the middle.

Dixon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Dixon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Christian swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dixon lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Dixon tries to score a body lock takedown but Christian shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Walker Christian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dale Dixon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Dixon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
