The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dr has taken the fight to the clinch.

Dr ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dr no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Franklin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Dr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Franklin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Franklin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Dr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Franklin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Franklin throws a big right hand that misses.
Franklin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franklin stops Dr from standing up.

Dr moves into range and clinches up with Franklin.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Dr is trying to push Franklin away but Franklin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dr is trying to maintain a safe position but Franklin gets an underhook and turns Dr into the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Dr is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.
Dr misses with a hook to the ribs.
Dr tries to stall but Franklin uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Franklin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

No joy there for Dr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dr shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Franklin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Franklin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Franklin is in Dr's guard.
Franklin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Franklin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Dr wants to get back to his feet but Franklin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Franklin is looking for a counter combo.

Franklin has Dr pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Franklin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dr tumbling to the mat - Franklin dives into Dr's guard.

Dr shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Franklin is on queer street and Dr is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
