Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bessarion Alexius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexius has chosen A Country Boy Can Survive as his entrance music. The key to victory for Eric Brooks has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexius jabs Brooks to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Brooks has closed the distance and engaged Alexius in a clinch.
Alexius is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Alexius is looking to take this one to the mat.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Alexius has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A hook to the body from Brooks.
Brooks tries to work over Alexius's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Brooks pushes Alexius back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Alexius has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Brooks clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Alexius misses with an elbow to the head.

Alexius keeps control of the position as Brooks tries to break free.

Alexius scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Alexius is working the ground and pound. Can Brooks escape?
Brooks is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Alexius lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alexius is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Alexius thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Brooks is rocked!
Alexius is punishing Brooks with some ground and pound.
Oh Brooks is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alexius cracks Brooks with a big right hand from the back mount! Brooks immediately covers up and the referee dives in to save him under a barrage of more strikes! Alexius takes this one by TKO!
