Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cael Sanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanderson's entrance music is Not Affraid- Eminem. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fisher throws a shot from downtown. Sanderson moves away and avoids it.

so Sanderson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fisher wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sanderson manages to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fisher wants to control but Sanderson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanderson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sanderson uses his free foot to push down on Fisher's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fisher.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fisher can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sanderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
BOOM! Sanderson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Sanderson has hold of Fisher's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fisher manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fisher won't enjoy being in this position. Sanderson looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Fisher is tapping - it's over boys! Sanderson picks up the submission victory!

After winning the bout, Cael Sanderson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
