Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
David lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Simpson circles away quickly and effectively.
Simpson misses with a hook. David ducked under it nicely.
David connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Good exchange - David coming out on top.
Simpson shoots in for a takedown but David shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
David circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Simpson drops to the canvas, hurt badly! David follows Simpson to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xavier David!
After the fight, Xavier David was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
