PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dixie Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogdan Petrycki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bogdan Petrycki told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrycki staying out of range there.
Petrycki looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Small lands with an uppercut that bounces Petrycki off the cage and back into range.

and Small counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Small scores with a crisp jab that stopped Petrycki in his tracks.

Small lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Small uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Petrycki has time to react.

Small is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Petrycki can't fight it off and eventually Small manages to take the fight to the floor. Petrycki looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
