Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerard Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randolph displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tyson.
Randolph shoots for a double leg takedown but Tyson sprawls well. He's pushed Randolph's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Randolph tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Tyson has managed to clinch.
Randolph is struggling to control the position.
Randolph stalls.
Tyson scores with a shoulder strike.
Randolph is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tyson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyson is trying to break the clinch but Randolph is controlling him.
Randolph dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Randolph breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Randolph is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tyson to keep the fight standing.

Randolph keeps control of Tyson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Randolph gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tyson.

Randolph fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tyson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Randolph circles away.
Tyson keeps the fight on the outside.
Tyson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Tyson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Randolph checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Randolph throws a quick counter kick to the body but Tyson avoids it.
Tyson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Randolph closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Randolph breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Randolph shoots in for a takedown but Tyson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tyson misses with a two punch combination.

Randolph wants to clinch up but Tyson keeps it at a distance.

and Randolph counters with a nice kick to the body.

Randolph scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Tyson tries to kick Randolph off in order to stand up. Randolph Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Tyson throws an overhand right that lands on Randolph's shoulder, as Randolph tries to avoid the shot.

Tyson lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Napoleon Randolph has been cut.

Tyson clinches up against the cage.

Randolph pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tyson looks to land a combination but Randolph avoids it well.

Tyson closes the distance and clinches.

Randolph manages to break the clinch.
Randolph tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tyson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tyson looks winded!
Tyson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Randolph's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tyson throws a right and a left that Randolph avoids nicely.
Tyson throws a nice looking combination but Randolph bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tyson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Randolph counter with a right hand.

Tyson clinches up with Randolph and pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gerard Tyson dominated that round.

Nice takedown defense from Tyson. No joy for Randolph on that attempt.
As Randolph backs off Tyson throws a huge counter combo but Randolph manages to avoid it all.
Tyson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Randolph fails in his attempt to clinch.

Tyson lands a big uppercut and Randolph crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Randolph looks OK. Tyson waves Randolph back to his feet!


Randolph is rocked!
Tyson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Tyson knocks Randolph out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gerard Tyson!
Gerard Tyson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
