The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maake checks a leg kick.
Maake walks forward, straight into a front kick from Van Der Sluijs.
Van Der Sluijs moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Maake dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Van Der Sluijs fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
James Van Der Sluijs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Der Sluijs tries a head kick but it misses.
Maake scores with a jab. Van Der Sluijs acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Van Der Sluijs dips to his left and cracks Maake with an uppercut!
Van Der Sluijs has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Maake connects with the punch.
Van Der Sluijs uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Maake.
Maake throws a shot from downtown. Van Der Sluijs moves away and avoids it.
Van Der Sluijs throws a quick inside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Van Der Sluijs scores with a kick to the body.
Van Der Sluijs throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Maake on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Van Der Sluijs. Van Der Sluijs obviously looking to wear him down.
Maake throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Van Der Sluijs counter with a right hand.
Van Der Sluijs needs to keep his hands up - Maake had a free shot at his head there.
Van Der Sluijs walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Maake misses with a hook. Van Der Sluijs ducked under it nicely.
Van Der Sluijs flicks out a counter leg kick but Maake steps away.
Van Der Sluijs is still on wobbly legs! Can Maake finish him?
Maake lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Van Der Sluijs out cold! Van Der Sluijs is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Cedric Maake really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sun-Tzu logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
