Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Better Dead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Il Sung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dead's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Death March - Motionless in White. Il Sung has chosen Death in Vegas- Dirt as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Il Sung feints and as Dead raises his hands in defense, Il Sung changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Il Sung is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dead is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dead has escaped and now he's on top!

We've been hearing good reports from Dead's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Il Sung is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dead defends well.
Dead trying to control the position from guard on top but Il Sung is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Il Sung is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dead tries to free his leg and advance position but Il Sung is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Il Sung is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Il Sung has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Il Sung looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Il Sung goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dead is on top in guard.

Dead content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Il Sung has locked up a guillotine! Il Sung's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Dead is holding on here and Il Sung must be using up a lot of energy. Dead has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Il Sung gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kim Il Sung!
An out of breath and clearly excited Kim Il Sung thanked Héritage! for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
In defeat, Better Dead stepped up to the mic, saying 'I was a little off today...o.k. I'm always a little off.'.
