The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duras drives through with a takedown into Farniev's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Duras tries to free his leg and advance position but Farniev is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Farniev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Duras doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Duras manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Duras is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Farniev drops back, looking for a kneebar! Duras looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Duras looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Duras!

Duras is looking to take a break and control but Farniev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Farniev is looking for a sweep.
Duras tries to move into full mount but can't pass Farniev's legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farniev is trying to get back to half guard.

Duras is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Farniev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Duras has hold of Farniev's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Farniev tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Duras cranks the arm and Farniev screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Farniev, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
