PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Stelling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devil Jin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stelling comes to the cage accompanied by London Calling. Jack Stelling looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 14 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Jack Stelling !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Devil Jin!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stelling gets a clinch.

Jin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Jin has eaten all the pies!
Stelling lands the left hand.
Stelling tries to clinch but Jin is having none of it.
Jin delivers a nice body kick.
Stelling defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jin.
Stelling throws a right and a left that Jin avoids nicely.
Jin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stelling .
Jin throws a series of punches but Stelling avoids them all with ease.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jin.
Stelling throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stelling tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jin blocks a head kick by Stelling .
Stelling is breathing heavily.
Jin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jin has closed the distance and engaged Stelling in a clinch.

Stelling wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Jin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stelling blocks it with crossed arms.
Stelling blocks an elbow strike.
Stelling tries to land knees in the clinch but Jin avoids the damage to the body.

Jin manages to break the clinch.
Jin throws a head kick that misses.
Jin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jin instigates a clinch.
Stelling is trying to break free.

Jin struggles to land a body shot inside as Stelling controls his hands.

Stelling fails to pull guard.

Stelling definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Stelling wants to stall.
Jin jumps guard but Stelling stands there with Jin around his waist. Jin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jack Stelling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devil Jin.
Stelling is trying to force a seperation but Jin has the dominant position.
Nice body punch from Jin - that landed with a thud.
Stelling lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jin or not.

Stelling has picked Jin up - he's going for a ride! Stelling dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jin pushes Stelling off looking to stand but Stelling dives back in and keeps control.

Jin gets full guard.
Stelling will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stelling manages to get himself to full guard.

Stelling is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jin pushes Stelling off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Devil Jin dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Jin gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Stelling manages to break the clinch.
Stelling scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Jin goes for a double leg but Stelling avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stelling continues to drive forward.
Jin lands a high kick!
Stelling leaves Jin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stelling tries to keep at a distance but Jin has taken the fight into the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jin shoots for a double leg takedown but Stelling sprawls well. He's pushed Jin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jin wants it to stay on the feet.
Jin unleashes a big counter combination but Stelling bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Jin misses with a takedown attempt - Stelling sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Devil Jin seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Stelling drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A frustrated look appears on Stelling 's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Stelling tries to pull guard but Jin forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stelling avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jin lands a nice knee to the body.
Jin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Stelling .
Jin goes for a takedown attempt but Stelling pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jin drives through and clinches with Stelling against the cage.
Devil Jin seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Stelling is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Jin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Stelling lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Jin has Stelling pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stelling manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Devil Jin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Stelling shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jin as he avoids it easily.

Jin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stelling swivels and escapes.
Stelling looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Jin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stelling pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jin rushes Stelling and presses him up against the cage.
Devil Jin is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Stelling is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Devil Jin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
