PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elof Jurgs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elof Jurgs told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jurgs checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jurgs ducks under a wild hook from Thomas.
Jurgs is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Thomas with a body shot.
Thomas tries to bum rush Jurgs with a series of wild strikes but Jurgs uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jurgs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thomas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jurgs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thomas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
