PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Strong Belwas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Radcliff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Radcliff comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fatal - Kick me down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Oliver Radcliff has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Strong Belwas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Strong Belwas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oliver Radcliff!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Belwas as he checks the leg kick.
Radcliff connects with a crisp jab.
Radcliff fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Belwas manages to avoid it.
Radcliff misses with a hook. Belwas ducked under it nicely.
Radcliff lands with a nice body punch.
Belwas moves out of range of the body kick from Radcliff.
Radcliff closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Radcliff swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Radcliff does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Radcliff has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Oliver Radcliff has been cut.
Belwas tries to land a front kick but Radcliff steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Radcliff is trying to break the clinch but Belwas is controlling him.

Radcliff lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Radcliff connects with a body shot that sends Belwas's belly button to the back.

Belwas's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Radcliff connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Belwas scrambles back to his feet.


It looks like Strong Belwas has been cut.
Belwas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Radcliff moves away.
Belwas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Radcliff swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Belwas throws a lazy right hand but Radcliff sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Radcliff throws the kick towards the body but Belwas avoids it.
Radcliff throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Radcliff jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Belwas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Radcliff clips Belwas with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Belwas a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Radcliff circles away from the clinch attempt.
Belwas needs to keep his hands up - Radcliff had a free shot at his head there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Having scored a knockdown, Oliver Radcliff should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Radcliff looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Radcliff has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Radcliff is trying to break the clinch but Belwas has him pressed against the cage.
Belwas looking to throw knees to the head but Radcliff is blocking nicely.
Belwas misses with a punch to the body.
Strong Belwas has scored more points in the clinch so far.

Belwas blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Belwas tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Radcliff's elbow.

Radcliff breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Belwas with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Belwas looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Belwas get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action!
Belwas lands a head kick!
Radcliff connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Belwas's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Belwas - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
