Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paulio Escobar!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Escobar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Combis is looking to control Escobar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Combis avoid being mounted?
Combis is trying to get back to full guard.
Combis moves into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Combis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Escobar trying to control the position from guard on top but Combis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Combis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Combis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Escobar is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Combis wants to stand and escape but Escobar is having none of it.
Escobar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Combis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Escobar works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Escobar is taking a breather. Combis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Combis is looking for a sweep. Escobar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Escobar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Escobar is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Combis can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Combis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Escobar has hold of Combis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Combis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Escobar takes Combis's back.

Escobar is persistently looking for the submission but Combis is defending it well.

Escobar looking for the choke but no joy.

Combis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Escobar's guard. Nice work there by Combis.
Combis throwing strikes but missing.
