Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bane slips a jab and a cross from Luger.
Bane misses with a body shot.
An inside leg kick lands from Bane.
Luger throws a body kick that misses.
Bane misses with a straight left.
Bane scores with a crisp jab that stopped Luger in his tracks.
Bane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Luger.
Bane connects with a good right hand that stumbles Luger. Luger circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Shane Luger has been cut.
Luger throws the left hand but Bane avoids the punch easily.
Luger misses with a body kick.
Luger looks to land a right hand but Bane moved out of range.
Bane scores with a nice strike.

Luger is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Bane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Luger throws out a counter right but Bane avoids it with no problem.

Bane throws a wild body kick that Luger sees coming a mile off.
That kick from Bane tenderised Luger's leg. Luger is trying to keep his angry face on.
Luger waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bane.
Bane rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Luger counter with a right hand.
Luger instigates a clinch.
Bane is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A right hook to the body lands for Bane.
Luger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bane scores with a hook to the body. Luger takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Luger has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Luger there as he acknowledges the shot.
Luger lands with a shot to the body.
Bane lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Shane Luger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bane throws out a leg kick but Luger moves out of range and Bane only half commits.
Bane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Luger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Bane misses with a wild body shot.
Bane fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bane takes the fight into the clinch.
Bane lands a body punch in the clinch.
Luger has Bane pressed against the cage.
Bane swings wildly with an uppercut but Luger uses good head movement to avoid it.
Luger trying to stall but Bane improves his position.
Luger misses with a punch to the body.
Luger misses with a punch on the inside.
Bane is working Luger over against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Bane misses with a body punch.
Luger tries to work over Bane's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Luger lands a hook to the side of the head.
A head punch on the inside from Bane fails to land.
Luger blocking some punches.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Bane.
Luger looks winded!
Bane blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bane pushes Luger back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A body shot lands from Bane.
Bane drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Luger gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bane tries a body shot but Luger blocks it.
Luger can't break the clinch.
Bane doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Luger's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bane lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Luger takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bane scores with a sloppy right hand. Luger should have avoided that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Good leg kick by Bane there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bane lands a left and a right that send Luger crashing to the mat, dazed. Bane thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Luger is rocked!
That has opened up Shane Luger's cut even more.
Bane lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Luger up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Bane from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Luger's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lucas Bane!
A very excited looking Lucas Bane made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
