Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Masahiko Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimura comes to the cage accompanied by STORM by the Yoshida Brothers. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks misses with a kick to the body.
Kimura throwing a counter right hand but Hendricks manages to avoid it.

Hendricks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Kimura counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hendricks pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Masahiko Kimura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Hendricks.
Hendricks can't break the clinch.
Hendricks tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Still in the clinch, Kimura scores with a nice short uppercut.

Kimura passes Hendricks's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Kimura thows an elbow strike that misses. Hendricks gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Kimura doesn't seem too bothered but Hendricks quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Kimura is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Kimura really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tony Hendricks!
Tony Hendricks made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'A title shot would be great at 170..But I'll try 185 or even make 155 if the fans want to see it!'.
In defeat, Masahiko Kimura stepped up to the mic, saying 'It was a bad night for me. All the credit to my foe but i`ll be back stronger and sharper, you can count with me! Thank you for your support my friends!'.
