Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Constrictor Boa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Sun God Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Constrictor Boa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, The Sun God Ra!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boa scores with a hook.
Boa throws a half hearted mid kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Boa.
Ra throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boa sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ra instigates a clinch.
Ra prevents the takedown attempt.
Boa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Boa is trying to stall.
Ra throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Boa tries to work over Ra's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Boa lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Boa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ra avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Constrictor Boa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ra has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Boa seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Ra can turn it around.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Ra wants to sweep here but Boa controlling him for the moment.
Boa works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Boa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ra keeps working.
Ra on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Ra is looking to control Boa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ra avoid being mounted?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ra is refusing to be controlled, as Boa sits in half guard.
Boa is pressing down on Ra's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ra is holding on for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
No joy there for Ra, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ra as he avoids it easily.
Ra ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The Sun God Ra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boa lands a leg kick that knocks Ra off balance momentarily.
Boa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Boa scores with a nice head shot.
A clash of legs there as Ra blocks the low kick.
And Ra tries to counter it with a takedown but Boa pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Ra tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Boa was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ra bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Boa's head.
Ra steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Boa.
Ra tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Constrictor Boa will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Constrictor Boa's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Boa cracks Ra with a good jab.
Boa connects with a body shot that sends Ra's belly button to the back.
Ra misses with an uppercut. Boa saw that one coming.
Boa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ra misses with a straight right.
Boa attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ra scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Boa lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Boa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ra defends it nicely.
And Ra tries to counter it with a takedown but Boa pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Boa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ra creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Boa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ra's elbow.
Ra utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Ra throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Ra can't find room to land a body shot as Boa controls the action.

With the fighters up against the ropes, Ra throws an elbow but misses.

Ra comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ra lands a left hand.
Ra swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Boa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ra goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nice defenses there by Boa.
A little feinted left hand from Boa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Boa throws out a leg kick but Ra moves out of range and Boa only half commits.
Boa lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ra tries to clinch up.
Ra connects with a body shot that sends Boa's belly button to the back.
A slapping body kick lands there for Boa.
Boa works the jab nicely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Constrictor Boa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

You can see the frustration on Boa's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Ra cracks Boa with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Boa from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Boa grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Boa is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Constrictor Boa.
I think Boa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
