Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Hershey!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Cadwell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cadwell moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Cadwell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cadwell misses with a head kick.
Hershey looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hershey is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hershey trying to control from half guard but Cadwell is working away.
Hershey content to control rather than advance.
Hershey is working for a kimura but Cadwell is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hershey passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cadwell defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hershey.
Hershey jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cadwell manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hershey tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hershey working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hershey is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cadwell knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Cadwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hershey on the ground.
Cadwell is not content to let Hershey control the position.
Hershey is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cadwell looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hershey gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cadwell is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hershey lets go of the hold and Cadwell can pop his arm back in it's socket.

After winning the bout, John Hershey thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
